Hailing from the vibrant harbour city, Rotterdam, Suze Ijó’s love for music was present from an early age and manifested as a dancer/record collector and later on as a DJ and radio host. She is a former First Floor member, a communal space near Rotterdam where music enthusiasts came together for practice, discourse while organizing private events inspired by New Yorks’ iconic party The Loft. Next to that her show Ba Tende on Operator radio allows her to explore and connect rhythms that include Broken / Techno / Breaks from West-Africa, The West Indies and Latin America.
