Tampering with established dancefloor blueprints, Ostgut Ton mainstay and Leisure System co-founder Sam Barker has managed to coax out a rich spectrum of sounds with an enviable range during his time in the circuit, while his feet remain firmly anchored in the school of rhythm science. The broad music philosophy of this classically trained musician and instrument designer, which eschews genre in favour of playful experimentation, has paid off in more ways than one. His Leisure System club nights has held one of the longest residencies in Berghain to date. This seeker of pleasure will be teaming up with fellow Berghain resident JakoJako for a hybrid LIVE/DJ set. Sibel Koçer, known better as JakoJako these days, has been generating plenty of good heat since bursting into the scene not so long ago. A curiosity to the world of sound that once ignited a spark in this Berliner, has turned into a full-blown obsession setting off a chain of events that has all of us watching with bated breath. Self-taught in her use of modular synthesisers, the Berghain resident with a strong sense of melody boasts a wide range of innovative sound from techno and beat-driven pieces all the way to the melodious and emotive.
